Without English Exam: Possible only if previous degree was in English (Interview Mandatory).
Step-by-Step Legal Process.
Apply for Long-stay Visa (Type D) at Embassy.
Docs must be translated to Croatian & Apostilled.
Submit 'Temporary Stay' app with Visa.
Fly to Croatia.
Register at MUP within 48 HOURS of arrival.
Get Biometric Residence Card (Valid 1 year).
Documents (PCC, Degree, etc.) MUST be translated into Croatian and Apostilled.
Police Registration: Must register address at MUP within 48 hours of arrival!
EU Blue Card Route.
Part-time work allowed (Student Service contract).
Salary Threshold (2026): €25,000 / year (approx). High skilled jobs.
Study years count as 50%.
Example: 4 Year Degree = 2 Years Credit.
Spouse can join (usually after student settles). Once resident, spouse gets Full Work Rights.
Funds Req: Student + 15-20% extra (~€600 total/mo).
